How notifications appear in messaging
Pop-ups When a new message arrives, a pop-up appears at the bottom of the screen showing the creator's name, the fan's username, and a message preview. The first unread pop-up includes a built-in quick reply field: you can type your response and send it directly from the pop-up, without leaving the conversation you are currently handling.
To go directly to the full conversation, click the redirect icon on the right side of the notification.
The notification panel The bell icon at the top right of the interface opens a panel listing all notifications received across all your connected creators. Each notification shows the creator, the fan, the message preview, and the time. You can mark everything as read in one click via "Mark all as read".
The badge A counter appears on the bell icon showing the number of unread notifications. It updates in real time and resets as soon as you open the panel.
Automatic silence on the messaging page If you enable the Silence on messaging page option in settings, pop-ups will not appear when you are already on the messaging page. Since messages appear in real time directly in the chat list, pop-ups become redundant in that context.
Accessing the settings
Go to Settings > Notifications from the left sidebar.
Two configuration modes are available. Only one can be active at a time.
Simple Mode
Simple mode is recommended for most teams. It lets you enable or disable notifications by event type and channel in just a few clicks.
01 · General Enable or disable all in-app notifications with a single toggle.
02 · Events Choose which event types you want to be notified about:
New message — very frequent, recommended for all chatters
New subscriber — regular frequency
New sale — regular frequency
03 · Channels For each event, choose how you want to be alerted:
Pop-up: displays a notification at the bottom of the screen
Sound: plays a sound for each notification received
Badge: displays a counter on the bell icon
Use the Test notification and Play sample sound buttons to verify your setup before saving.
04 · Context Define when pop-ups should be silenced:
Silence on messaging page: hides pop-ups when you are already on the messaging page, since you can already see messages in real time
Silence when app is not focused: hides pop-ups when the Offmy window is not in the foreground
05 · Aggregation When multiple notifications arrive in quick succession, Offmy groups them into a single pop-up beyond a threshold you define using the slider. This prevents alert overload during peak activity periods.
06 · Creators Creators muted here will not trigger any pop-up or badge. Useful for temporarily silencing alerts from a lower-priority creator without changing the global configuration.
Advanced Mode
Advanced mode lets you create contextual rules with conditions and priorities. This is the recommended mode for agencies managing multiple creators or multiple chatter profiles.
How rules work Each rule is evaluated in priority order. The first rule whose conditions are all met is applied. You can reorder rules using the up/down arrows, duplicate them, edit them, or disable them without deleting them.
Creating a rule Click + Add a rule, give it a name, define your conditions, then choose the actions to trigger.
Available conditions
All conditions within a rule must be true simultaneously for the rule to apply. You can combine as many conditions as needed using + Add a condition.
Event type: New message / New subscriber / New sale
Current page: Messaging / Other page — useful for example to only receive pop-ups when you are not already on the messaging page
Creator: select one or more creators connected to your account
Amount (€): triggers the rule based on the transaction amount, using operators ≥, >, ≤, <. Ideal for prioritizing high-value sales
Fan tag: triggers the rule only for fans carrying a specific tag (e.g. VIP, Spender). Works in direct synergy with the fan tags defined in messaging
Assigned to me: Yes / No — lets you receive alerts only for conversations assigned to you, in line with the chatter assignment system
Hour (0-23): restricts the rule to a defined time range (e.g. 9h–18h). Useful for aligning alerts with your team's shifts
Available actions For each rule, choose which channels to activate:
Show pop-up
Play sound
Increment badge
Example setup A "VIP Spender" rule with the conditions: Event type = New message + Fan tag = VIP + Hour = 9h–22h, with all three actions enabled, ensures no message from a VIP fan goes unnoticed during working hours.
Synergies with messaging
The notification system is designed to work alongside Offmy's other messaging features:
Fan tags: create tag-specific notification rules (Timewaster, Good buyer, Spender, VIP...) to adapt alert levels to each fan's value
Chatter assignment: use the "Assigned to me" condition so each chatter only receives alerts for their own conversations
Quick reply: from the notification pop-up, reply directly without leaving your current conversation
Real-time messaging: notifications are powered by Offmy's real-time messaging — the moment a message arrives, the alert is instant
